Nations Game 1: Canes 10, Carolina Titans 3

What would your initial reaction have been if I told you the Canes were outhit for the third straight game in Saturday's pool play opener? It's true--the Carolina Titans held a 7-4 advantage in hits. But the Canes had the edge on the scoreboard, winning a 10-3 game that was shortened to four innings by the run rule.

After a somewhat slow start, with the Titans getting an early run and a slight lack of energy in the dugout, Evoshield turned it on, putting up a five-spot in the second inning that was enough to send them on the way to the win. Despite getting just the four hits, the Canes took advantage of seven walks and four errors to produce ten runs.

Dugout wisdom
JT went on a long speech about the power of the banjo. Apparently, they call him "The Banjo King." As JT himself put it, "To me, banjos are like shoes to other people. I just like collecting them." He also informed us that "Girls love banjos."

As JT continued to expound on the topic, and none of us have ever seen him with a banjo in six years, Jake rolled his eyes. "When you low-key are trying to get in dugout wisdom but don't want to admit it," he said.
