The Canes won the team's second straight game against older competition, taking a 7-1 win over the 14U NC Stealth. Four pitchers teamed up to allow just three Stealth runners to make it past second base during the course of the game.
An opportunistic offense scored seven runs on just six hits. Of the seven Canes runs that crossed the plate, six of those runners reached base via either walk or error.
The win means the Canes finished pool play 2-0 and now await seeds and game times later this evening.

Macon followed up with a hitless frame.
Asher threw two scoreless innings.
Chace finished it up in the sixth and did not allow a hit.
Dugout wisdom
Gavin was being very conspicuous about always getting the on-deck bats, greeting hitters when they came in from their at-bats, and just generally being very active. Finally, a teammate asked him, "Are you getting ready to hit?" The very honest response from Gavin, who was on the bench with an injury: "No. I'm just trying to be obvious so Coach Sean will notice me and give me an at-bat."
