Perfect Game Greensboro Game 2: Canes 17, Bomb Squad Elite 3

The Canes finished pool play at 2-0 with a 17-3 win over Bomb Squad Elite. The offense put the game away with a seven-run fourth inning that saw the Canes smack eight hits in the frame. The game, played at Guilford College, was shortened to five innings by the run rule.

The pair of victories gave the Canes the top seed in Sunday's bracket play, which will begin at 1:40 p.m. (the rare late start!) in Greensboro.

Dugout Wisdom
It's not really important how this was obtained or where it came from, but somehow between the end of game one and the start of game two, Coach Kevin I obtained a lengthy chain. This was instantly deemed the "lock down defense chain," similar to the turnover chain made famous by Miami football. It is awarded to a defensive player who makes a great play during the game and is truly one of the biggest honors you can receive in 13U baseball.
